Capital Markets (Equity and Debt)
Arguably, the leading Capital Markets Team in the Sultanate of Oman. MAQ Legal has played a pivotal role in shaping Oman’s capital markets. Our Capital Markets Team remains the only team in the Sultanate of Oman to have advised on all recent IPOs in Oman, including as sole Oman law advisor on the groundbreaking multi-award-winning IPOs of OQ Exploration and Production SAOG, Asyad Shipping Company SAOG and Abraj Energy Services SAOG. In addition, the team has advised on the vast majority of domestic and international offerings, including bonds, sukuk, and funds (including, REITs), structured under local law or pursuant to Regulation S and Rule 144A. We also work closely with regulatory authorities, contributing to legislative reform and regulatory guidance, ensuring we remain at the forefront of market developments. Our Capital Market Team continues to advise on innovative fund structures being introduced into the Sultanate of Oman.

Our Natural Resources team has decades of experience supporting oil and gas companies and mining ventures in Oman and globally.
